For me, it can take two or three days to fill up a traditional dishwasher, and during this time food oder builds and any debris hardens. With the smaller drawer capacity, I can run a a full dishwasher nightly and not feel like I am wasting resources!

Overall I™€™m pleased with this double drawer dishwasher. My only complaints are sometimes it doesn™€™t drain completely so it has water puddling in the bottom of the drawer. It™€™s pretty quiet. It™€™s perfect for our basement kitchen where we didn™€™t need a full sized dishwasher to wash some cups and bowls from teenagers.

I am very happy that we bought this dishwasher! I never knew something like this even existed. I was skeptical at first because I was worried about the load size per drawer, but it turns out this is exactly what our family needed! Being able to run smaller, separate loads is very ideal. I find that we are much more efficient in both cleaning and putting away our washed dishes and utensils. I think drawer dishwashers should be the new standard.

Dirty Dishes Always!!! Not a Dishwasher!

The WORST 2-drawer dishwasher had. Dishes are never clean; must complete by hand-washing. Spots, food stains 90% remain on dishes. Too, the dishes can't be stacked properly to be efficient. I purchased because of the 2-drawers. This was a HUGE mistake. We have had unit serviced 7+ times over a 3yr period; of which probably consists of 3-4 mos year; thus, maybe 15 mos. total. Other the look of the Cafe appliances is a plus only. Even if a new one was given for $100; would refuse. How can GE put it's name to this product...it's a Fisher-Paykel according to our service techs. We expected this dishwasher to be a water saving product; not the case. Dishes have to be hand-washed to be clean.

This is the best dishwasher I have ever owned, and the first one that my husband actually liked. The double drawers make loading so easy and hold more than your typical dishwasher...I even get offers to help loading. Dishes, pots, pans and flatware always come out clean. The wash cycle is very quiet, and the Fast Dry is excellent, with no need to run the full dry cycle, even with full loads.

Love my dishdrawer, had a Fisher Paykel but had to buy a white one which FP didn't offer. I like everything about my Cafe Dishdrawer, cleans, well, quiet, no bending over to load, durability remains to be seen although seems to be built well. Drying is ok and holds enough in top drawer, but can put more in lower drawer. Just wish I didn't have to buy the stainless steel handles but glad they were offered as an option.

The look of the dishwahers is amazing. I am still getting use to it, but I have used all of the cycles and none of them really dry the dishes. I used the express wash with the dry feature and the dishes were wet and I had to dry them off a lot.

Absolute waste, DO NOT BUY!

When we renovated our kitchen, I wanted good quality and dependable appliances so we researched and went with GE Cafe. We had GE Profile for years with no problem. We spent upwards of $20K on the appliance package, the induction cooktop was great until we found out the wires were installed backwards from manufacturer and several service visits later finally working right. Now the double drawer dishwasher, doesn't drain water from the drawers, smells from stagnant water, doesn't clean the dishes correctly and doesn't dry them worth a lick. Two service visits for the dishwasher alone, now need to put in another service request since we are again having the same issues. And to add to the fun, now we need to put in a request for the ice maker on the fridge. Did I mention they were installed less than 8 months ago?!?

I had GE come out over 5 times to fix this dishwasher. The repairs never worked and they initially gave me a new unit that doesn't work! I had to outsource from GE for different plumbers/installers and paid more for the scope of work than the appliance. GE customer service is garbage and never corrected the situation. DO NOT BUY!

The start sequence is a big hassle and not user friendly and should be revised. Half the time you think you have started a wash cycle you haven™€™t. The controls are annoying. Otherwise it™€™s a good dishwasher.

Great idea it looks great but doesn™€™t clean. The racking isn™€™t good and it™€™s hard to load things right. Everything has to be very clean or the filter gets plugged then you have to clean it. And now when you run it half the time it won™€™t dissolve the soap tab and you have to run it again. It™€™s definitely form over function. I would not ever buy it again.

No heater fan, air drys dishes, disappointing!

This dishwasher has no heat element to dry dishes. It depends on a fan to circulate the heated air to dry the dishes after a wash which is why there is almost always water on the dishes. I did not know this prior to purchase and even the Customer Service person at GE couldn't/wouldn't tell me about the absence of a heater. It is awkward to load and the two drawers together do not hold the amount of dishes that a single door will hold. Purchase was based on the fact that we had two Fisher-Paykel dish drawers that we absolutely loved (this is the same premise but has been redesigned). There's only two of us and the top drawer will hold all the dishes we use over 4 days. I hand wash all pots and pans as this is the best way to care for them. Stainless and non-stick will ruin if washed in a dishwasher and my 50 year old set looks like new because they have never been in a dishwasher.

This is a terrible dishwasher, it runs successfully about 50% of the time, very easy for something to get caught in the spinner, which then doesn™€™t allow for everything to get cleaned. Have to clean out frequently, as it starts to smell very easily. This dishwasher is more work than helpful. But it is aesthetically pleasing.

Think Twice About Double Drawers

This dishwasher is beautiful and extremely quiet, however, it is very difficult to fit pans and cutting boards even in the larger compartment on top. It prefers powder detergent, which I am used to using pods, and it does not completely dry on every cycle type. In hindsight, I would have purchased the single drawer/regular dishwasher instead of this double drawer one. You also can't see when the dishes are done, except for through the app, so there have been times I didn't know if it was clean or dirty. It is cool you can double tap to pause a cycle and you can fit a ton of plates at once. Overall, it works great and gets the job done!

We chose this dishwasher based on the color and the double-drawer feature. It fits nicely and snugly in our newly remodeled kitchen. We didn't have a whole lot of space for a bigger dishwasher, so this one fit just perfectly. My only thing with it is that you can't fit in a whole lot of dishes in either drawer at one time, since the dimensions are smaller than a normal-sized dishwasher. So it can get a little tricky at times when loading. However, so far the dishwasher works great, and usually does a great job at cleaning the dishes even when we don't rinse off all the food from the dish. We love the matte white; it brightens up the space with our matching matte white appliances.

Please DO NOT purchase this. It™€™s pretty and match my double door stove but DO NOT work. The technician said that it must be plugged into a non GFi plug in order for it to work. However building code requires for me to have a GFi and GE is telling me that I just need to buy another one. I have had 2 in a 18 month time and have only washed dishes approximately 5 times. WHAT A WASTE!!!!!!

When it was delivered the men were fantastic. They placed it just inside my front door,packaging was in good condition. When I removed the packaging I found that the back pannel was damaged and was poped loose. After checking for additional damage everything looked good. So I decided to repair the damage and do the install, I have allways been a hands on person. All the info for the install was spot on, the job went great. We have been using it ever since and we could not be happier. Thanks Great Job.

I love that the door doesn't come all the way down like the regular dishwasher and take up all your space. I love the two separate drawers. I can run them both at the same time or each individual individually. Plus it's pretty!

I love the amount of things that I can fit in the 2 drawers and that it™€™s super quiet. My complaint is that a few times I put the pod in and ran the load but when I opened the drawer there was powder stuck along the top of the drawer which is a little weird and the dishes didn™€™t seem fully clean. I re-ran it and then it was fine so not too big of a deal but at this price point I™€™m expecting it to run flawlessly everytime! The only other issue is that it™€™s a little confusing to operate. I still haven™€™t figured out how to turn the drying function on. I think I set it and then the load ends and they™€™re not dry so it might be user error or my dishwasher. I™€™m not really sure. But what trumps really any issue is that it™€™s so aesthetically pleasing - this is the best looking dishwasher I™€™ve ever seen. We™€™re still in the process of finishing our kitchen remodel but it looks great with all the matching Cafe appliances. The appliances are for sure the star of the show over here!

Quiet & cleans well

We went with the 2 drawer dishwasher. We like the flexibility as empty nesters we tend to load the upper drawer and run every other day. It is quiet - we do not rinse before hand and it cleans the dishes really well. We purchased to GE Cafe Matte White - the appliances It are a statement and beautiful in our kitchen!

AWFUL PRODUCTS AWFUL COMPANY - STAY FAR AWAY

Please do not waste your time or money on any of the GE Cafe Appliances. I spent over $15,000 on GE Cafe appliances (2 appliance packages for 2 different houses). This dishwasher (both of them) did not work from day one. To make matters worse, they BOTH flooded on the first run. GE was finally able to repair one of them BUT they refuse to repair or replace the second one that has not worked since day one and destroyed my house. AWFUL customer service. One of the refrigerators was also defective right out of the box and it took GE almost A YEAR to replace it. AWFUL company, AWFUL products and AWFUL customer support/service. IF you want years of headaches and waste of money and time by all means click add to cart; but you have been warned. Check out their BBB complaints.... HUNDREDS AND HUNDREDS of them. I wish I would have did some more investigating before wasting THOUSANDS of dollars and COUNTLESS HOURS dealing with GE. If I could give ZERO stars I would. The dishwashers have a defective valve (right from the factory) and GE refuses to honor the warranty or stand by their products. Extremely frustrating and disappointing and I would not wish anyone to have to deal with GE, not even my worst enemy.

No manual came with this very high end dishwasher

So frustrated. I cannot figure out how to install the removable dish separator on both washers. Now I™€™m just angry. Also, the dry option is only available on one setting. And there is only one spray arm at the bottom of each drawer. So dishes are not getting clean.

I love this dishwasher for every reason. It™€™s so quiet, I don™€™t know it™€™s running! For the two of us, the top is perfect and capacity is just right for a few days™€™ use. Need more room? Just use the second drawer! The aesthetics of this are beautiful, design is striking with white and copper handles. All around a real beauty, inside and out.
