After a long period of reading reviews and other product information about chest freezer, I determined that the Frigidaire 14.8 Cu. Ft. Was the one for us. I purchased it from HD and it was delivered on time and in perfect condition. I opted to install the provided casters so I can move it to allow for cleaning under the unit. As retirees, we™™re always looking for sales on groceries that we ca buy in bulk and freeze. As a fisherman, it give me the space for storing my catch without taking up space in our kitchen freezer. That keeps mama happy.

I have two other chest freezers that leak and build up a lot of ice. This new Frigidaire freezer is much more sturdy and has a very sturdy lid. When I close the lid the seals grip together to form an air lock. When opening the lid it™™s as if there is a suction that has to let go before it opens.

We had to purchase a new freezer after our freezer quick working. We looked at several different brands at various stores before purchasing the Frigidaire. We purchased because of size. Other features we like are: the freezer has a light on the outside to show that it is working and 2 nice size trays.

This freezer is very energy efficient. We have it connected to an energy monitor which computes the freezer™™s energy consumption and cost based on our utility™™s cost per kwh. It is far more efficient than the yellow energy label states. The freezer™™s wheels are handy and the baskets slide easily and do not fall in as was the case with our old freezer.

Bought this Freezer to replace a 6.6 cu. ft. Frigidaire Freezer that was no longer large enough to serve our needs. We chose Frigidaire because we have owned several Frigidaire appliances in the past (including our current refrigerator). This chest freezer is large and features a light in the lid that comes on when you open it. It comes with casters to make it easier to move if necessary. The casters have to be installed. Overall, this is an attractive freezer.

I LOVE my new freezer!! It's spacious so you can see everything. Has two medium sized sliding baskets up top and you can place it outside! It could easily fit a deer or side of beef. Now I can SEE everything I have in the freezers. My in door refrig/freezer isn't stuffed anymore. I'm totally thrilled with this freezer and the price was amazing. Thanks Frigidaire and Home Depot!!

I don't have this model but I do have a Frigidaire chest freezer that I bought 20 years ago. It is still working wonderfully. Never had a problem. No rust inside. It still looks brand new inside and out. If it ever decides to kick the bucket, I will definitely purchase another Frigidaire.
