I'm using this unit in a small 15x6 room. I'm using the low setting with the thermostat on the coldest temperature (#7) and my room is very cold. However, in the evening it gets too cold so I lower the thermostat one setting (#6) and for some reason it just can't keep up. The temperature is warmer than you would expect if you just lowered it by 1 setting. So, it's either freezing or it's not cool enough to be comfortable. But all in all, it's a great little AC unit which is also very quiet.

My Review for 5,000 BTU Window-Mounted Room Air Conditioner is great for small bedroom and I keep it on all the time and I never shut it off. It's been on since the first day I brought it. Great product and I will continue to buy more products from the frigidaire company.

This is a very good air conditioner for the size and quiet. I'm even able to move the air into a different room (while keeping the bedroom comfortable), which helps the central air keep up with the climbing heat.

One of our best buys. Easy to istall and works great for our bed room. Has a five year sealed system warranty. This replaced a foriegn made unit which the compressor died one year and one day after purchase. Guess how long its' warranty was for?

This air conditioner was light enough for my daughter to put it in the window by herself. I needed some additional cooling because the roll-about air conditioner wasn't enough. This addition worked to create a comfortable space. I am happy with it it cools the area down quickly.

I bought this for a small room and it has gone beyond my expectations. I turn it on high cool before bed and turn it to low cool when I go in. It cools off so quickly that I usually turn it off in the middle of the night.

I got this installed by a task rabbit because I wasn™™t exactly sure how to do it myself but it took less than 5 minutes for him to set it up. It cools my room down super fast and also reaches pretty far into other rooms too. Not sure about the price yet and what it costs but I™™ll find out soon enough.

Above pretty much tells it all. Needs more power, should be quieter, but with only onewindow in my bedroom I am getting more use to it! For the price we are pleased withwhatever cool air we get.

Good little a/c for the price. Just a little disappointed with the fit in my window. Compared to previous frigidaire & whirlpool units there were gaps that I had to stuff with foam to prevent insects from entering.

I bought this air conditioner for a small room. It worked well when I first got it even if it was a bit loud it works decently enough and it was not very expensive. However about a year later into its second summer of use it no longer cools as strongly as before. Frigidaire wasn't really able to help. At least they never got back to me. I doubt they will replace it under warranty. I have tried all the troubleshooting steps. I tried checking the temperature sensor was not touching the coil. The filter is clean and not blocked. I even disassembled the outer shell in order to make sure that the fan and all the mechanical components such as the condenser and coils were clean and clear of dust and debris. nothing has solved the issue. The fan turns on as well as the condenser but the air it blows into the room is not cold. I'm out of ideas after weeks of troubleshooting and cleaning.I guess all I can recommend is to avoid this model and maybe purchase from another reputable brand or maybe try a more updated newer model and hope that any of the potential issues were fixed.

As we were adjusting the air conditioner in the window, my wife couldn't get the right angle to raise the window. As I raised my hands to push the window up, the air conditioner fell out the window and landed on the ground (fortunately we were on the first floor). With great care we retrieved the unit and finished the installation. Voila! It turned right on and is still cooling us off!!

The unit froze up first use. This was due to the Installation by the RV manufacturers installing the unit. RV dealership reinstalled so it will drain properly .

Live in a Mobile Home w/ Central Air but sometimes just want to cool the bedroom, this is the answer.I can turn this unit on and have cool place to sleep. I bought this yesterday during a heat wave when my old 15 year old Goldstar ac finally died. Did a quick research for size,price, and positive reviews along with a name brand. First the pros; very light, easy to unpack,and install for this 70 year old. Total of 15 minutes to do. Now the nitty gritty. I put this unit in the spare room on the second floor of a cape style home. It was a 95 degrees and humid and anyone who lives in this style home knows, the upstairs gets brutally hot. Using the simple manual controls, which I like, I put it on high cool and fan. I expected after a few minutes to have icy cold air blowing out and figured to cool down the room in a few hours. The air was cool but not biting icy cold like the old unit. I do realize I was fighting an uphill battle because of the heat build up before. Also, I™™m sure they use a different Freon in newer ac™™s than the older models. I don™™t know how much a difference it makes . By bedtime my upstairs was comfortable with this unit and another Frigidaire unit in the other room across the hallway. We always try to run our ac™™s early enough before the peak of a hot day or else it™™s hard for the units to catch up in the battle of cooling down the house. This unit has good fan speed in every mode and the noise level is certainly acceptable. Filter is easy access to clean. I do wish it was less flimsy but all the units I checked out at the store were basically the same. I picked Frigidaire over the other units because it just looked and felt less cheaply made than the others and it certainly has brand name recognition. I would recommend this unit but just understand that any unit will struggle in humid hot over 90™™s weather. I™™m hoping it will cool down faster on less brutal days. I will try to update later in the season.

The AC unit works just fine (small bedroom in NYC), however this is impossible to winterize. The 5000 BTU unit is tiny, and literally no window covers will fit around it - they are all huge and won't wrap around. Now I will freeze all winter. Why on earth doesn't frigidaire offer the correct size accessory for this product??

Bought this unit for my food trailer. It gets HOT in Central Texas, and this little beauty does quite the job. While my trailer is small (6x12) , this AC certainly makes a difference. Quite running and pretty easy to install. My only wish was that they would have provided a couple of extra mounting holes on the top frame of the unit. Other than that, totally happy with this purchase so far.

I purchased this little air conditioner for my tiny home last month. It is not heavy and was very easy to install (and all by myself). It is not powerful enough for a big room, but perfect for a bedroom or small space. I wanted a simple AC with knobs (no push buttons or electronics), and this is perfect for my needs.
