Good humidifier with wi-fi controls

The wi-fi control is nice. I can use Home Assistant via Alexa to control humidity settings, such that it's not running while watching movies etc. Would be better if the hygrometer reading was also available as a sensor in the API. It works efficiently to reduce humidity. Mine failed after about 11 months, but they replaced it quickly.

I love this dehumidifier! Works greats, looks great and the wifi capabilities is so handy. This thing had a hard first week with us removing a lot of moisture from the air. It's done a great job keeping the humidity in check here in northern New England as we creep our way towards summer.

Worked great for one month. Had trouble setting up wi-fi on android, but worked like a charm on iOS, and then I could use the android app. Then I got the EC error code (compressor leak) and have to get it replaced while the humidity rises in my basement for 7-10 days. I really thought I was buying a quality product, but while researching the error code I came across countless complaints of this exact issue online.

Nice machine, bad software

I purchased this machine for our basement storage area which generally sits at 65-70% RH. It was highly recommended by Wirecutter. My observations were that there was some difficulty with setup to achieve a Wi-Fi connection. Mechanically, the unit functioned well, it easily maintained the space at a 40% RH. Primary issue is that it would not stay connected for more than 2 days to our home Wi-Fi network, then I would have to reconnect it as a new machine, with difficulty. I called Frigidaire customer service the first time I was no able to reconnect and the agent was noble to offer more than what was contained in the manual. Ultimately h offered me a return authorization number. I kep the unit for another week, and had to repeat the every other day re-connection process. Finally I spent several days in an effort to reconnect without success. Then returned the unit to Amazon for a refund. I am not sure if I will order again, but I do still need a dehumidifier for the space, but I need one that will work reliably in all regards.

The size of our unfinished basement makes it a challenge for any of our prior dehumidifiers to keep up. I've been floored at how quickly and effectively this Frigidaire model established and maintained a steady humidity. I love that we can check in on it via WiFi, because it's so quiet when running that I don't always remember it's there...even when I'm in the basement. I could never say that with any of the other makes/models we've tried in the past six years. Excellent all around!

Set this up (easy) about a month ago, put it on auto and so far, so great. Humidity stays in the 40 to 45 degree range, and the downstairs family room no longer feels damp. I thought I would never use the APP and simply look at the settings and humidity on the machine. Turns out, I use the APP and like it...gives you any info you need and the ability to change settings from anywhere you are. All in all, a good start with this machine .

That™€™s what the customer service rep told me when I had issues with the unit within a week of owning it. So, it appears that Frigidaire doesn™€™t warranty their dehumidifiers. In that case, one is stuck dealing with the seller and if you didn™€™t buy local, forget it. Don™€™t toss your packaging/box before you test their products. And buy local with at least a 30-day return.

Have only had for a couple days but setup was super easy and it's working well in my basement. Does not come with a drain hose so I will have to set that up as it filled up after about 48hrs running. Price is a little higher than others I saw but this was one of the few with wifi which I was willing to pay extra for. Overall, been super helpful so far.

Overall I'm happy with look, feel and performancof of the appliance. I am in a high humidity region and am generating roughly a gallon of distallate in a six hour period so I use the gravity drain. App performance is decent snd so overall satisfied a few weeks in.

My wife and 10 month old had been struggling through life in a damp, moldy, and mildewy apartment. We can't break our lease but we were able to buy this dehumidifier and it has absolutely been a life changer. We are so much healthier now, we don't breathe in the mold and mildew because it's all gone. This humidifier is great, it is very powerful, quiet when needed, and collects lots of water. It was easy to take out of the box and set up. I would highly recommend this if you have too much humidity.

Lasted less than a week?!?!?!

This dehumidifier looks amazing, sadly that is the only good thing I can say about it. As far as performance, it worked great for almost a week? Within a week of use, the unit suddenly stopped collecting water. I™€™m left with a beautiful looking, very expensive fan that can turn off and on with Wi-Fi. Unit powers on and sounds like it™€™s working but never lowers the humidity level, and there™€™s not even a drop of water in the container. After several hours the unit turns off and displays ™€œEC.™€ I™€™m no expert but my research says the unit is not only broken but not repairable. Sadly a simple google search reveals this is a common problem. To sum up this review with 1 word, DISGUSTED! This is supposed to be one of the best models? Since this was gifted to me, I don™€™t have the receipt, but I did register the unit at time of setup. I hope Frigidaire™€™s customer service is better than the product sold.

I looked at and compared tons of dehumidifiers and settled for this in the end and I™€™m glad I did for the simple reason that it does what it™€™s supposed to do. I previously bought a different brand but it™€™s taking so long to dehumidify the air in our flat. This may also have a higher price point but not really a lot of difference from less pricey ones. It™€™s all worth it with all the extra features, including wifi-enabled and automatic setting, etc. The only wish though it™€™s a lot quieter esp at night when the sound is more apparent hence only 4.5 stars. Overall, I™€™m satisfied and highly recommend.

I bought this unit to control and monitor the humidity remotely in a seasonal house, so am counting on stable internet connectivity. Unfortunately it sometimes loses it's connection and will not reconnect without me physically going to the unit to run the connection routine. And when I do reconnect I have re-enter the registration information, which is really annoying. The actually dehumidifier is working fine though.
