I've only had this microwave for a few weeks, so I think this is a fair rating. The installation was not too difficult and it looks great. The 4-speed fan is a nice improvement over the unit this replaced. We are still getting used to the controls.

My new GE Profile microwave oven was installed today, and so far, I am a happy camper. It replaced a Kenmore Elite that had lasted 18 years. Installation was a breeze for my appliance guy. Being a true southerner, I couldn't wait to make tea. It was perfect. My popcorn popped nicely. My reheated vegetables were nice and hot. The baked potatoes were nicely done. I personally love sensor cooking, but it's a good thing to have the option. The barbecue sandwiches were very well heated. My only disappointment has been the control panel that does not light up. There has to be full light in the kitchen, in order to read it. The surface light is nice and bright. I like that I can tone it down. We chose to vent through the roof. That was a good choice. The oven is very roomy. I can see a lot of good use in the future.

Only lasted 14 months....poor quality

The magnetron malfunctioned this morning, creating an electrical fire and filling the interior of the microwave with smoke. The microwave was installed in late November, 2024 and lasted ony14 months. It also was very loud during operation, with a loud ventilation fan, clunky door and the touch pad was squeaky. Overall, very poor quality.

Good capacity and cooks quicker than my old GE Profile microwave. I like the 3 speed fan. I am used to using the time dial. However, the handle is cheap plastic and the door feels like it too. The display is not for senior eyes - too tiny letters and poorly arranged. The Chefs Connect doesn't do much and does not come on with just the oven. I wanted a model with a convection oven, but not the ubiquitous air fryer, but if you make one, Costco doesn't offer it. And my biggest disappointment... I dont think you can microwave something while using the timer for timing something else. A feature I used all the time on my old mmicrowave.

A poor substitute for my Bosch

I had a Bosch and the Home Warranty company replaced it with this quite less superior product. It works but has a dent in the front and no numbers to set a time. Add 30 is the only time available without setting a dial for a prearranged time. I don't ever do that. I set my own time... 45 sec or 1 minute etc. I can't do that now.

Boxed DAMAGED GOODS

Came damaged twice. Had to take off work 3 times for delivery and had to arrange for my install guy to be there 3 times and to unhook the gas on my stove for me to safely install the product. Lost a lot of money taking off work and paying for installation 3 times because GE who makes this microwave in my city can't package their appliances well. Cost me more in taking time off than the product is worth.

After three attempts, and because I insisted, the local installer finally delivered a dent and warp free microwave. They removed the existing wall bracket that I was told would accommodate the replacement and re drilled new holes in the wall. They installers gouged and drilled the cabinet under which the microwave is mounted leaving a mess of wood splinters on the range below and bolts that are not flush with the cabinet floor costing me storage space inside. The local company entrusted to deliver and install the microwave earn a grade of D minus. Model PVM9215SKSS was recommended as a replacement for PVM9215SFSS (purchased in 2013 - what a great run!), which in turn replaced model JVM2050 bought and installed in 2003. This latest microwave - PVM9215SKSS - has fewer features, is much louder when operating and overall is aesthetically less appealing.

We love our new GE microwave! The installation was easy and rotating the ventilation didn™€™t take long. It is not only stylish, it works great! The 2.1 cubic foot size is so large and roomy. We love how the sensors decide the time needed for each item. The controls were a bit different than our prior microwave, but are easy to use. I always thought our old microwave worked great, but this GE model takes half the time!

Purchased this in mid 2021. September 2025 it stops working. GE Appliance repair wants $125 just to look at it and then parts and labor are on top of that. It™€™s probably a super cheap part that blew but I™€™ll never know because it™€™s just expensive enough to repair that it makes more sense to just buy a new one. Pretty sure that is what GE is hoping for by building products that fail a few years after purchase. Planned obsolescence should be illegal but I guess this is the system we live in. Don™€™t bother paying up for a ™€œquality™€ product because they won™€™t last any longer than the cheap ones.

Loudest microwave I have ever owned, disappointing since I paid for what I thought was premium Profile series product. Controls are needlessly complicated and not very easy to press. Turntable doesn't fit well on base. One filter screen falls out frequently. Attempts to contact warranty service were hopeless. Green tinted light that illuminates range top makes food look bad.

Delivered and installed with no problems. Tested by contractor installer without issues. Before I placed order I chose a GE over the counter microwave model similar to the old one. Made sure dimensions and specs are similar. I™€™ll provide updates after using it after a month or so. The old GE profile lasted for 16 years so I™€™m expecting this to last another 16 years.

We bought this microwave as a replacement unit. It goes well with our existing kitchen appliances. We saw reviews commenting on the dial knob. I find it easy to use and no problem. The only change I would make is the clock is a bright white and the clock on the stove is green. They are Bluetooth synced, so it would be nice for them to be the same color.

We had to purchase another one of this to replace a 2020 model that only lasted 5 years due to a faulty magnetron. It was an expensive repair so we decided to purchase a new microwave. We opted to purchase the same one due to the cabinet configuration and tile backsplash. This newer version is extremely loud when compared to our older one. Hopefully this one last more than five years.

Spacious powerful microwave. Easy to set time. Would prefer it had more "instant on" timed cooking levels (1 minute, 2 minutes, etc). Control panel buttons are a bit small for the size of the unit. Cooking area has a contoured top so you cannot store a magnetic plastic food cover by having it adhere to the top. Ventilation fans are much quieter than older models.

Just installed a GE Profile microwave over the range. When it starts it is very loud for a few seconds , then seems to have normal noise after that. If you use the power level function it does this every time it powers on. It would wake someone sleeping. Will see what the GE customer service staff say. Wish me luck.

This our second model from GE. The original one lasted 19 years. Reliable, only problem is difficulty in ordering. Solid, quiet, and so far, no problems. Just purchased it in February.
