Professional delivery and installation is available for every product we sell. We would be happy to coordinate delivery and installation for you.

Extended warranties are usually very inexpensive and can save you thousands in the future. Some can even cover extra costs that result, such as cost of food that spoils when your fridge dies. It's simple and inexpensive to purchase extended warranties and one of the smartest ways to protect your investment.

Appliances can be large, heavy and expensive. You probably don't have the special tools or expertise needed to fix them in a crisis. If you can spare a few thousand dollars without batting an eyelash for new appliances should they break tomorrow, don't buy a warranty. But if you're like most of us, protect yourself by purchasing inexpensive extended warranties when you buy a new product and save yourself big money in the long run.

Basic function of getting hot works quite well, and fast. Feeling that this dryer will last well! Simple, basic controls. Knowing remaining time during "timed dryer" mode would be nice, i.e. a simple 2-digit 7-character display.

Very difficult to get the machine to turn on! Buttons not very responsive. Makes an odd high pitched squeaky sound when running. Huge tub. It dries and lint trap is easy to pull out and clean.

Service call was for dryer not working properly. As soon as Maytag repairman checked dryer he immediately advised that it was the airflow that was not working not the dryer. We contacted the air duct cleaner and he did his work and dryer has been working ok.

It™€™s OK, underwhelming, possibly defective

Zach27 7/22/2026

So it dries well but I have several problems. First I hate that the lint trap is on the top, I should have known how much this would annoy me, lint ends up all over the top of the dryer. Second, ours probably 3 mins into each cycle begins to make a very strange noise, kind of scratching I guess? For like 3 mins and then it goes away and the machine becomes fairly quiet again. It is generally though much louder than our outgoing LG dryer. The entire machine just feels cheap, I guess it™€™s probably primarily the door but it just feels very very cheap, not sure how to describe it, just hollow and light and cheap.

Wrong model number on website.

rich5u 6/21/2026

It works well. However, the model number on the order was MGD6200KW but the actual model number on the machine is MGD6200KW4. For a propane conversion kit the part number is 49572A which I ordered but didn't fit the KW4 machine. I had to send it back and order correct kit 11581316. Needed THREE visits by a tech/plumber to get the correct propane conversion kit installed, all because of wrong Maytag model number on line (which was different from the model number on the machine). It cost extra $ for the installation and return of the wrong kit.

Mismatched

Bob27123321 6/14/2026

This dryer is marketed as matching the Maytag washer MTW6200RW and from the site, we couldn™€™t see any difference. However after installation we found that the trim is different as well as the controls. The lint trap also makes a mess each time that it™€™s removed. We paid more to get the matching set of Maytag but found that we have more clean-up and a mismatched laundry set.

Every thing about this dryer is flimsy

Sawzall 5/26/2026

Out of the box one corner of the sheet metal bottom was slightly deformed. This caused the cheapo plastic threaded foot to NOT thread into the hole for it. Yes, the simple design is just a hole in the sheet metal bottom into which you are supposed to thread the foot. After several tries the plastic foot was ruined. I used the foot from my old dryer and screwed it into place. Everything about this dryer is flimsy. The door shuts poorly, the lint trap is flimsy the on off is incomprehensible. Very sad my THIRTY ONE YEAR OLD drier finally died. If I get 5 years out of this thing I will be surprised. I bought it new at Restore (a Habitat for Humanity resell store) which has no customer service. Getting appliances into my basement is a real hassle for me, getting them out worse. Restore does not take returns. I live on borrowed time.

Drum started rattling two weeks after receiving. We contacted warrantee service. One month later and we still haven™€™t heard from the maintenance company they use. They were scheduled to come out and then called and said they wouldn™€™t have what they needed to fix it and they would have to order the part although they never came to look at it. We ended up calling Costco and they are replacing the unit.

I purchased the Maytag gas dryer and have been marginally satisfied. A load of laundry seems to take an extended period of time to dry. I cannot hear the end of cycle signal and I called the phone number provided on the website for questions. After waiting almost an hour for someone to pick up I explained to the woman who answered my question of, is there a way to raise the volume of the end of cycle signal on this machine. I gave her the exact model and serial number for my unit. She put me on hold and when she came back on the line she told me to hold the signal button and three volume settings would appear to which I could pick my choice. I tried this and there is no option for changing the volume settings. It only gives me a an off or on option. Someone who answers a question line should be able to answer the questions about the unit. I even tried to ask with the online option but after it totally dropped my text twice I finally was able to send the question through where I got a reply asking for my name, address and if I had purchased the extended warranty. Had nothing to do with my question. I also feel the construction of this unit feels flimsy. With my last dryer I could close the door easily, I have to almost slam this door in order for it to close. I thought Maytag would be a quality product to purchase but so far I am not impressed with this dryer or my efforts in contacting customer service.

An hour after we had it installed and started using it we heard an unusual rattling noise. We called the people who delivered it (Costco delivery) and were told we had to call Costco. The rattling stopped and several days later returned, then stopped again. When it rattled a third time, we called Costco and they offered us a replacement. We are waiting for the replacement.

Wrinkle Control is a great feature in this Dryer

O V C 12/11/2025

I bought a new washer and Gas dryer recently and I'm very happy that it has a feature for wrinkle control. That way when my clothes are dried they come out less creased, they require very little or no ironing and that way their life is prolonged. Totally happy with it.
